Hiya everyone!! How is everyone? I'm sorry I haven't been blogging very much....I have been meaning to, but just haven't.
So, we got our Christmas tree, ( yes, it's a real one)I think about a week ago....and put a lot of decorations....it's being weighed down right now, poor thing. =D
Sadly, it only has a few presents under it :(
Robbie put his present under it for me...it is pretty big....and... HE WONT EVEN LET ME TOUCH IT!! Mean isn't it!? He says, "It's very fragile!" I say, "I can't even pick it up to guess?!" He says, "Nope!" Pure torture...
A friend of mine, Ellen, and I are going to play Silent Night on violins for our Christmas program at our Church...Please pray it goes well! =)
Hmm....let's see...I don't have much else to say, learly...but don't worry! I'll post more later! God bless!

Visit Peter
Hiya! Today (Tuesday) we went to go see Peter. He has a hospital bed and all the other things he needs in their family living room. When we first got into the room, his head wasn't facing us. His eyes were wide open though. We all went close by his bedside. Mr.Helms had to hold his head up for a minute, put Peter's glasses on, then he put a cloth under his neck to where his head was facing us. He looked at all of us with wide eyes. He didn't seem like the old Peter...I knew he would be different, but, yeah. Micah got upset at seeing him that way, so he felt like he was going to throw up...so he went to their bathroom. Then, Colton went out as well a little later. Robbie played his song for Peter on his guitar, which I think Peter enjoyed. Then, after his song was over, mommy went to go check on Colton and Micah. Mr.Helms asked me if I wanted to talk to Peter...I didn't know really what to do. I just kind of shrugged my shoulders. He said "It's okay, you don't have to." as he looked at Peter and tried to make him comfortable.
Peter seemed pretty tired. Mommy came back, and after a while of all of us just kind of looked at him. Peter acted like he was trying to get up or something. He started moving his arms and shoulders. Then Mr.Helms said :It's okay Peter, it's okay" Then, Peter started making this growling noise from his trach, and making an angry-like face. Andrew (Peter's oldest brother) said "Wow Peter, Calm down." With a laugh. Then they said they had to suction his trach, so we left.
It felt a little scary...I was shaking some of the time. =/ But, I'm glad we got to go see him! Keep up the prayers please!
God Bless!

Guitar
Hiya people! I might be learning guitar! Robbie would have to teach me since I don't know a thing about guitar!! I hope I will like it enough to stick with it! I know, violin, piano and NOW guitar! I know....but, I like how it sounds, and I don't mind giving it a try. :D I just hope I will be patient enough to learn all I need to learn!
The Catechism class is going really well! We have another test NEXT WEEK!! I am going to do really bad on it like I did the last one! Please be praying that it will all go well.
Halloween....is SOOO STUPID! Almost ALL of our neighbors are decorating their yards with a lot of dead things! Very creepy! We saw this one yard one time as we were driving by, and the WHOLE yard looked like a graveyard! It was...yuck!
Usually a house in our neighborhood invites the whole neighborhood (almost) to come to this Halloween party...and they send them into the neighborhood on a scavenger hunt to find dumb things. And we have some million dollar tracks and we will probably hand them out so people will actually take them!
Well, hope that wasn't TOO boring to you! Thanks for reading! God Bless!

Fall and what's happenin'
Do you like my fall decorated blog? Is it too much? Fall is one of my favorite seasons! It's great:)
Well, nothing too exciting has been happening really. But, since it's getting cooler, I'll be able to ride Spirit more! :D Which, I hope he enjoys as much as I will.
A friend at my Church is letting me borrow their Lord Of The Rings movies. I have watched all but the third one, which I'll probably watch tonight or tomorrow night. They are pretty cool...a little creepy, but I like them. Everyone says it is really dark, but I don't find it too bad. I would maybe prefer to read the books, 'cause then you don't see the creatures :) My friends say the books are better, and that I should have read them first..but I didn't =/
The Catechism class is going well. Mr. Helms (my wonderful Pastor) has been gone for two weeks because him and his family are in Dallas for Peter. So we have had someone else teaching us. He's great :D Since Robbie and I wen't to a Remedy Drive concert on Wednesday night instead of Church for the Catechism ( I know, we are heathens :D ) then the other man teaching just gave Robbie and me the first test to take home, and I will study a lot today, and take it tonight or tomorrow. Then we have to bring our tests to Church Sunday.
Well, that's all I have for you! Sorry my life is so boring! :D God bless and have a great week!

Remedy Drive~
The Rebedy Drive concert was great! Very, very loude...but great! :) They had two bands before as opening bands. I don't remember the first band's name but they were not good in my opinion! The next band was called Sixteen Cities. They were great! The singer's name I forgot.. =/ But I went to go meet him after the concert and he seemed really sweet.
Dave (the singer of Remedy Drive) was standing on things flipping and everything! It was a little weird, but cool too. I really enjoyed it! So did Robbie and his friend David! We met all the Rebedy Drive team! :) They were cool! I also bought a shirt that you will see in these pictures....

And then here is the singer of Sixteen Cities... the one with the blonde spiked hair...

We were taking my friend Hannah home from the concert, and, we (My mother, Hannah and me) were talking how it is sad how a lot of Christian rock bands are becoming very secular. In the way they sing, how they appear...as in piercings, tattos, a lot of make up or weird hair cuts...and it is just really sad... So, it's hard not to find true Christian bands sometimes.
I will be posting some more pictures from the concert on my photography blog. Well, that's all for now! God bless and have a great day!

New Stuff~
I know what you are thinking, it seems like years in beetween posts....sorry about that!
My older brother and I have started this new Catechism class at our Church. Actually, I could have posted this quite a while ago, considering we have been going to it for three weeks. But, oh well... It is a really good class! There is quite a bit to memorize but, it's still fun. I have learned a lot about Christ. :) I am very thankful. :D
My older brother my mother, and I are going to go to a concert this up coming Wednesday! By Remedy Drive:D One of the coolest bands! And, it'll be my first concert! Robbie is really excited about it as well (of course). He said to me today, "Poor Emily, I wont be able to drive you to your first concert." :D Wich would be so cool if he could...but Mother will not let him. =/
I hope it isn't too crowded!
Also, I have been wanting a typewriter to write my storie on in my room...and I said on Facebook, "If anybody has a typewriter they don't want anymore, please let me know!" And the next day, my Grandad said that he had one! I was so excited! AND...he gave it to me for free!! So, now I have my own typewriter! My father says I'm crazy 'cause computers are soo much better:D Wich, they are, but I'm not allowen to have a computer in my room! So, I am satisfied!
God bless you!

Update on Peter
From PRAY FOR PETER HELMS on Facebook~
08.02.10 - Update
To members of PRAY FOR PETER HELMS!
Hope Helms September 2 at 9:18pm Reply
It looks like the goal for bringing Pete home is Monday! He has continued to do well with his breathing. The doctors are wanting to wean Peter off the trach before sending him home. They are going to be giving him a series of "challenges" tomorrow to see if he is ready for that. It would really be good if Pete is able to come off of the trach so soon and to close off another opening for infection.
Peter's staph infection is also gone. We are praying that Pete will be able to leave the hospital as soon as possible to prevent further infections from occurring.
Here are the newest things to pray for:
1) That the breathing challenges Pete will undergo tomorrow would go smoothly. Specifically the swallowing challenge.
2) That Peter would be protected from any further infections so that we can bring him home to a more controlled environment.
3) That the plans for Peter's care at home would go well as would all other preparations on the home-front.
4) That the family would have the stamina and strength we need to do all of Peter's care at home.
5) For Peter's continued healing and for his brain to establish renewed connections with his body.
Thank you.
For the family,
Hope

Update on Peter
Someone from the family named Hope Helms has been giving us updates! Here is the latest one so far:
Hope Helms August 4 at 3:18pm Reply
Today the doctors removed the shunt in Peter's brain. His ICP was fairly stable and the tube was not draining fluid, so that means his body has been absorbing the fluid. These are good signs.
The doctors have also found some infection in his lungs and are giving him an antibiotic for that. They do not seem to be worried about it at this point, but it is still a prayer concern.
We are still uncertain as to when the tracheotomy will take place, but that should be the next procedure Peter needs to have now that the shunt is removed.
The doctor also told us today that he does not think that Peter's brain activity will be vegetative. There have been some small signs in Peter that have made us very guardedly hopeful. His movement seems to be more cognitive rather than reflexive. It could still be a couple of weeks if/until he wakes up and we can begin to see the extent of his brain damage.
We have been warned to expect Peter to show us some good signs, and then relapse. The doctor said this is quite normal, but it will be a roller coaster ride. We were also told to be prepared for anything when Peter wakes up.
1) Pray against further infection.
2) Pray that as Peter begins to wake up and realize what is happening to him for the first time that God will give him peace.
3) Continue to pray for our patience in this and our physical health.
4) Continue to pray for healing in Peter's body and especially that the swelling will continue to stay down in his brain now that the shunt has been removed.
5) Pray for our emotional stability during this tumultuous time. Pray that we will only look to Christ to be our strength and refuge.
Again, thank you.
For the family,
Hope
"Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy." Psalm 61: 1-3
Contunue to pray please!! More pictures! :)

Pray For Peter Helms!!
On July 27th our Pastor's youngest son Peter Helms was in a seriouse car accident. It happened on 1187 and he was sent to ICU by careflight. His car is totally damaged! They had to use the jaws of life to get him out of his car. He has bleeding in the brain, and swealing, a broken jaw and a broken nose. They also had to put a tube down him to help him breathe. We went to the hostpital that same day. So did a lot of other family and friends of the Helms family. We didn't get to see Peter because they were doing a lot of tests. But now they are letting people see him; one of the family members (also a member of the church) took pictures of him and put them on Facebook. These are graphic pictures. So sorry =/...
Please, please be praying for the Helms family! The worst thing is the bleeding and swealing, so please pray for it to stop! I will keep you posted on what happens! :) God Bless!

Colton's Gecko
This last Sunday, my younger brother Colton found a Leopard Gecho (We think)at our Church somewhere outside! And he asked mommy if he could keep it as a pet. And mommy said yes! So, after Church, we went to eat then we all(except daddy) went to PetsMart to get the gecho stuff. We took it home, and set it all up in Colton's room. And the gecho keeps changing to white, then a greyish kind of color! And we don't thing Leopard gechos changed colors like that! So, we don't know, but at least he is living!:) Now Colton finally has one of his favorite animals as a pet! He is thrilled! He is kinda creepy though! I've held him once...he feels kinda creepy! :) God bless!

Slow Waters Run Deep
I don't know why, but I am slow to understand things right away. And I was feeling really upset about it a few days ago. And my Pastor from my Church said "Don't worry Emily, slow waters run deep." And that made me feel a lot better! :) So if anyone ever feels like they are the only one not understanding something, don't be upset about it! You are not the only one! And it's not that you aren't smart, it just takes a little more time! God Bless! ~Emily

Rock Creek Girl's Camp 2010!!
I'm terribly sorry that my blog is so boring! Please forgive me for that! :)
This last week there is this thing at my church called Girls Camp! They have it every year for girl's age 10-18. This was the first year I was able to attend. Because last year they didn't have it.
Every day we went up there at 9:00. Had a Bible study with the woman that had put almost all of it together! She taught us many things about guarding our heart! And what to desire and not to desire. It was very nice! I learnd a lot!
Then, after our Bible study, a elderly woman came up to teach us how to knit dish cloths! We all enjoyed it! And she saw how strange we were! :)
Then, we would have a little break before lunch! Some of the girls's mothers would come up each day to make lunch for us. It was a big blessing to all of us!
Then we would play music and sing hymns! It was so much fun! There were 5 violin players, one flute player, and another woman that was helping out played the piano, and the rest sung!
We did special things different days. One of the days we wen't to go help mother's from the church that had little ones. We helped clean their houses and watch/play with the children.
Another day, we wen't to a girl's house that had a pool and we had saftey, then we swam for a hour or two.
And we also had a Tea Party for some elderly ladied from our church! We prepared tea, of course, mini brownies, fruit, etc. And our pastors wife came and preached to us! Then we sung and played for them!
And each of the days we sewed little dresses for little girl's in Africa! The woman that put it all together is going to go to Africa in a few months! Then the last day, we deep cleaned the church! That was interesting! :) But fun because we were serving the Lord and the people who wen't to the church.
All was very exciting! We were all truly blessed by the woman that put it all together! Thank The Lord for a wonderful Church family!
God bless!

Psalm
Blessed is the man that walk in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in his law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in it's season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff wich the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,Nor sinners in the congregation of the rightouse.
For the Lord knows the way of the rightous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff wich the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,Nor sinners in the congregation of the rightouse.
For the Lord knows the way of the rightous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
